(Anonymous) 2011-08-06 06:51 am (UTC)(link)It's much stranger to be in the middle ground, where you recognize that he's probably JKR's best-realized character, and really like him in the context of the series itself, but also see how he's an absolutely horrible person who likes to bully vulnerable little kids without remorse, because there was only one single person in his whole life he ever gave a damn about.
I mean, tormenting children should be okay if he's 'sexy' and 'hurting,' right?
