Agreed, OP. The fandom honestly tires me out with its trying to target characters to "blame" for the fact that Kotetsu is having a hard time with life. Curiously, nobody ever seems to harp on the sponsors, Apollon Media, or Hero TV for encouraging a system where you're old iron if you hit 40 or whatever. No, clearly it's Kaede's fault, or Bunny's fault, or whoever else has a prominent face on the show (iirc people bash Karina, too).

Sometimes, a system just sucks, and sometimes, a character just has to deal with the hand life has dealt him without it being anyone's "fault" per se. The immaturity of some people is staggering.

I agree 100%. I understand that Kotetsu is fandom's darling but the degree to which people coddle him and blame other characters for the bad things in his life, and for "hurting him" and "not paying attention" to him is baffling. News flash, sometimes life just sucks and it's your responsibility as an adult to deal with it the best you can.

I hope Kotetsu will really lose his powers by the end and he can retire to be with Kaede and make up for all those years while they weren't together. But apparently for fandom this is the most horrible and sad thing that could happen because OMG he won't be a hero anymore. :/

Oh yeah, I love Kotetsu a whole bunch, too. He's an amazing character. But so are Bunny, and Kaede, and Nathan, and Karina, and Antonio, and Ivan... I could go on and on.

And I agree with you - it's particularly baffling because the characters that get the most hate, i.e. Bunny and Kaede, are actually seen struggling with their own feelings/regretting things they did/coping with disappointment. So it's not like you never see them thinking about their actions, either. And particularly Kaede... man, guys, she's a small child. Small children are not known for their perfectly rational approach to everything (and neither are most adults, for that matter XD).

I'd actually prefer it if that didn't happen, and if they instead found a way to restructure the whole "heroing" thing so that he wouldn't have to fear for Kaede's safety and could still be with her. It seems like the more interesting thing to me, but that's just my opinion. *shrug*

...and you pretty much summed up what I was trying to say to those 'immature' part of the fandom perfectly. I hated it ever since the Barnaby-hating started.

Oh, word. So much word. It's so absurd and frustrating, particularly because I always saw Tiger&Bunny as a show about people trying to cope with themselves, and find a way to become closer despite their various baggage. And a big part of that is that none of the characters are perfect — they're wonderfully human. I dislike it when people re-style one character (whether Kotetsu or Bunny or anyone else) to be always "right" or "perfect"... defeats the whole point of the relationships we're shown, imo.
