Whatever a post going around on tumblr, for example, where people are circle jerking over a pairing by calling other people who don't like that pairing immature names?

What if someone reblogs the tumblr where they explain why they don't like that pairing in a mature fashion? What would that be considered?

I hear you, OP. I'm the same. Especially since there are some very popular pairings in my fandoms that I really can't stand. Just reading the pairing name makes me go like "HOW DARE YOU SHIP MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER WITH THAT JERK???" But, hey, as long as we stay polite instead of bitching at people for shipping stuff we don't like, there's nothing wrong with yelling at the screen. ;D

Yup. Unless a fic is a pairing I like, I won't read it. And I get a tad ragey if an author that writes A/B, also writes A/C, or A/B/C.

But I don't express any of this; I just keep my mouth shut and leave people to do what they want. I assume most people are this way? No one should be that much of an asshole.

Are you me? There's a really wonderful author in my fandom that used to write exclusively for my favorite pairing (we'll call it A/C) even in the face of the canon ship (B/C), but now she's starting to basically write entirely for B/C and it just. Breaks my heart. D:

As long as you're not getting pissy at anyone on your flist then it's OK. I don't ever read fics unless they are a part of one of my OTPs, to be honest. But if you're getting all pissed off and getting on their case, then you have issues.

Ahaha, I'm the same. I'd never actually antagonise fans of 'rival' pairings, though. I just quietly avoid them and everything's cool, more or less.
