Not gonna lie, I would agree with this a lot if I didn't feel so guilty with shipping them. I really, really hate Yukito and would rather Toya get someone better because he deserves the best (idk who that is, but it's not Yukito). And yet I still ship them. D:

There were some porn fics, but net attrition got to a few of them. Also, the time period when the fandom was active didn't really have porn the way it does now (I think it was socially unacceptable to use "cock").... ah, for the more innocent days.

Even though this show is pretty old now I think a lot of its fans are still pretty young, so that might be why? I'm not saying no teenagers or young people ever write (or attempt to write) X-rated fanfic but I think young people are more likely to write fluff or G-rated stuff

When the manga was being published in the U.S., I remember searching for fanfic of the two. (Yeah, I was 12 at the time. Such an innocent kid.) At the time, smuttier stuff was all that I ever looked for, and I definitely found some stuff. And then as I started reading it...I felt weirdly uncomfortable, which had never happened before. I realized that their relationship seemed too pure so it seemed unconscionable to be reading smut between the two. D:
