5. I've been there before; not a great place to visit. I'd explain, but why bother when that secret parallels it so well? I'd sound like I'm just reiterating what you already said.

The best thing you can do is forget about it, and distance yourself from her. Don't defend yourself; it'll cause both of you pain and heartache that neither of you deserve. Real-life drama always brings out the worst in people, and maybe after the worst of it is over for her she'll come back and try to fix it.

5. Honestly? RPers can be horrible. I've lost "friends" - and some geniuine friends - because the game became the focus of our friendship, or sometimes always was.

I love roleplaying, but I can't stand when people take it so seriously.

6. Don't get me started on the NBC forums. I'm now the worst enemy ZOMG!!!! there because I didn't feel like deciphering all the chatspeak. And then you have all the people who thought Hiro's name was spelled "Hero"... *facepalm*

GRRRR yes. I opened a thread and poll on Hiro/Ando there and it was doing fine. . . until the fucking trolls hit. I finally just abandoned it when people were posting things like "gay=AIDS" and calling transsexuals retarded and saying that it was a "perversion" they didn't want in their show. *shudder* How can bigoted fundies like this show? Oh well. . .

18. Szayel Aporro has more fans than Il Forte because he's been in the manga for a lot longer, dear. Just because you like him you can't ignore the fact that Il Forte was only in it for a few chapters before he bit it, and so most people don't think they know him well enough to be a fan. (I'm a fan, though.)

23. Since when do people have to ship canon? Yeah, it would be nice if people didn't slash everything that moves, but you know what? They're just having fun. That's all it really comes down to.

#2: lol can't talk to him because he's popular? He's got posts all over the comm, if you want to give some constructive criticism, all you'd have to do is drop a comment? People will disagree, yeah--but they probably won't jump on you if you're polite about it.

#10: Word. Yes I was reading scanlations back before the official spelling was known, but once it was I switched to Light. Because... that's his name. Sure you can say "lol same thing" but we don't go around calling people named Edward "Edowaado," do we?

#23: I don't mind slash, as it's kind of become a big part of almost every fandom. But haha it's pretty wacky when people start shying away from het pairings because of it--which I've seen happen a few too many times.

7. MISATO IS MY FICTIONAL HEROINE. She was one of the driving forces for me to watch the show and how she dealt with everything. I love her so much.

18. I love Szayel but Mayuri > Szayel because he was the first badass, mad scientist. Szayel kind of feels like a recycled Mayuri, except drawn to be pretty. Wait, Mayuri turned out to be hotter than I thought. Il Forte and D-Roy (D.Roy?) were my favorite Arrancar of the first group that came. I love Il Forte's design, even if he looked a lot like Ukitake but his release was awesome!

23. I understand but your secret sounded a bit harsh. I know, it's pretty annoying when your fandom starts slashing M/M when the story is about EVERY GUY IN THE WORLD IN LOVE WITH ONE CHICK or something but because it's that ONE CHICK, some people instantly dislike her. I could understand chemistry between male characters though. Some people in the DtB fandom slashes Li/Hei (they're the same person!) AND I DON'T GET IT. HE IS LIKE, CLEARLY NOT ATTRACTED TO ANYTHING BUT FOOD.

10. Welllll, I think it is a bit easier to change than a habit. I mean, to bring up a series where similar wank occurs: when I first read TRC, the only spelling of Fay's name I knew was "Fai," because the character book wasn't out yet. I spelled it that way for almost a year. When the book finally did come out, I switched to the official spelling with very little trouble. It didn't really take that long to get used to it. I suppose the difficulty varies from person to person, but I always get confused when people say it's just too hard for them to change.

23. Entitlement complex? The secret has nothing to do with who likes my ship, it's about people who disregard canon relationships purely for the sake of putting men together with men. The fandom I am talking about is a series in which every main male character has been shown being attracted to only women, yet fangirls disregard all that sex with females just to squee over guys fucking each other.

Sorry if it wasn't clear enough, but I would rather have 10 good fans in my ship with me than 1000 moron ones. The secret was about stupid people who slash straight characters for no reason other than that they think slash is cuter or whatever.
