i've been thinking lately ~~and i had to rest after it because the strain hurt my head~~ but fandom!secrets seems to have a secret vendetta against thin people

like that fat secret or whatever yesterday OMG OMG SIZE 6 OMG as if being a size 6 was a concern at all???? i mean i'm a size 6 and nobody's tried to put me in a coffin or an anorexia clinic for being a skeleton yet

then again i exercise a lot so i'm more muscle than anything BUT STILL WHY IS BEING THIN SO BAD AND BEING FAT IS LIKE SOME HUGE ACHIEVEMENT OR SOME SHIT

it's not an achievement, it's just we're all fat nerds and so we all have super weird ass complexes about weight and any time we talk about it there's all these weird-ass attitudes on display. not sure why this surprises you.

who actually gives a shit about weight on the internet

like, really

i mean unless they're getting too fat to fit through the double doors to an internet cafe and people miss talking to them, it's not like people can see what they look like anyway

it's not that you care about people knowing your appearance, i suspect that a lot of people have attitudes about weight and appearance that are skewed by their own weight. often that comes out in a kind of anxiety about appearance that maybe manifests in anxiety about people who are thin. i don't know there are a bunch of different things that could happen but the point is, even though no one on the internet knows one is fat, it still shapes one's attitudes about weight and appearance, and when you're talking about weight and appearance those attitudes come out

does this make sense. also your posts are really funny, just wanted to put that out there.

My sister is always whining about how horribly thin she is. "I hate that my thighs don't touch", "I hate that my hips stick out", "I hate that I'm so tall and skinny". It's like, fucking hell, you have the body of a supermodel. The body that many women (myself included) would do anything to have. The body that society has taught us is "perfect".

Meanwhile here I am, with the sort of body that absorbs fat like a fucking vacuum.

Thin people can't have body issues? Well, alright.

Being too thin is still a weight issue.

Probably because on the balance, most nerds are fat, and most nerds are used to getting ripped on mercilessly for it. It's not right that they turn around and rag on thin people, but it's what happens.

Since I started my weight loss program and was actually successful I've realized people have changed their attitude toward me. Unlike before when I could talk about weight issues with everyone, now I seem to have lost that right becasue apparently I'm a spoiled privillaged cunt all of a sudden. I have no place to talk about the struggles of weightloss (which I'm still grappling with BTW,) because "OMG!!! STFU you privillaged thin person who must have always been thin and pampered and can't possibly know what fat people go through!!!11"

hahahaha this! it reminds me of that secret a while back about the Australian show with three skinny girls and the fat one. everyone here was commenting on the fat girl: "oh she's so beautiful!" and "who is that gorgeous piece of ass there?!" and it's like, really? this character is a gross, whining, despiseable person with the emotional maturity of a 13 year old girl. and everyone here treated her like she's some sort of sex god. loling forever.

I'm one of those wacky body acceptance people, and I believe in acceptance of ALL kinds of bodies, fat, thin, and in between. I don't think thin women should be told that they aren't "real women" any more than fat women should be told that they're greasy tubs of lard. (The same applies to men, btw.)
