7. WORD. Torri Higginson made me love that show. I don't think I would have gotten as into it as I did if not for her. I'll keep watching, but I'm not really excited about the show anymore

18. Um, playing devil's advocate, I got tired of being called names because I took the changes in stride. I was told I was a "not a real fan" because I didn't throw a fit when Weir was made recurring. It works both ways. I've defriended the people who called me names over it, but I'm not defriending people who just have a different opinion. That's just intolerance. But it's your journal, so whatever.

Apologies if this sounds like wank, even though you said not to, but this is disgusting and I've had it with people putting down OCs.

Way to be mature about your jealousy. Though it's funny you should mention fangirls. If she has them, and she IS a self-insert, people who like her aren't stupid enough to not notice that. The fact that she has fangirls should tell you something. Who would support a self-insert anyway? I wouldn't, and I've played with her. She's not only a seamless recreation of how S-Ko would be if she were a character who was alive and living, but fits into the canon of the game without being imposing on the original cast.

Her design is based off of S-Ko's if you cared to notice at all. Maybe not in that picture, but the other ones? You're blind if you can't see that and your secret just seems to be one trying to bite at the creator for creating someone believable and loveable. Her only fault would be that she's not Daisuke Ishiwatari.

And just for your information, cosplaying someone you resemble is probably a wise decision compared to not. Just what exactly is the artist supposed to do about things? You sure want to bitch, but do you have any solution to a problem that doesn't even exist except in your own head?

Go read up your Guilty Gear and Ring canon and then come and tell me how she can be a self-insert at all. Megumi exists in the canon and fans are allowed to speculate all they want because there's still enough to think on with Axl being her boyfriend and S-Ko's backstory. Do us a favor and let the fans be inspired and flesh out the game for themselves rather than shooting them down before they even get anywhere and get a hobby other than flaming people.

#6. SO FUCKING TRUE. Also with K-pop/K-rock. It's very very sad. The very person who introduced me to anime, too... well I don't see her around much more and we're still friends but not close like we used to be :/ I don't see what she enjoys so much about the whole scene, most of it is panting at specially-concocted formulas cooked up by the production execs.

I completely agree. But then, I'm a genfic/canonfic person in all of my fandoms - I'll take some non canon, but those fandoms tend to have non canon to extremes.

I'll never get why people can't just leave friends friends and brothers/sisters brothers/sisters, but whatever. ^^ I don't mind all ships that ship canon friends or whatnot, I mean I was/am a Ron/Hermione shipper in the Harry Potter fandom, (though that ended up being canon), but it gets irritating that nobody can be platonic anymore.

(Of course, I still loathe Elizabeth/Jack, which almost was canon.)
