Weird, I thought he played one of the few believable Batman side characters in TDK. People really hate him that much?

Nah, I love him. He's pretty awesome and I liked his character in TDK, too. SO THERE.

I think Eric Roberts just gets a bad rep for being the perennial mob boss/Svengali/sleazeball. He was a regular in crappy B-movies for a while. Plus people will inevitably compare him to Julia, and next to his Oscar-winning sister's resume he just doesn't stack up.

Dude, I love Eric Roberts. No one plays a creepy, dangerous bastard better.

He gives me the creeps. Hardcore. To a degree where it's not even rational anymore. Blaaaaaaah.

I actually kind of liked him as the Master (although that's an incredibly unpopular opinion), and dude's been in tons of stuff so someone must like his work. Either that or he'll act for cheap.

Haven't seen TDK in a while, but I had no problems with him as far as I remember.

Also, he was awesome as Dark Danny in "Danny Phantom". ^^

I kind of love him almost residually from when I was in Danny Phantom fandom and he voiced Evil Future Danny. It was a pretty sexy voice, okay, don't judge.

And since then I haven't been able to hate him. I don't even hate his Master. It feels mean. :(

W/e he was awesome. An asshole, but that just made him fit in nicely with everyone else.

He's a good actor. He just tends to end up in crappy things (except for TDK and Heroes Season 1). And he was a terrible Master, but that's more due to how terribly the part was written.

Dude, are you me? I've heard my brother and a bunch of other people say they hate him and IDGI. I kinda like him.

I wish he was the one with the sucessful career and not his annoying as hell sister.

do they? I like him. I think he's really good at being a slimy douchebag (with occasional SUPER AMOUNTS OF CREEPERDOM going too)

he reminds me of a white version of the dad from A Tale of Two Sisters...

I haven't seen him in anything else but I thought he was good in TDK? didn't know people thought he wasn't, tbh.

I think the making fun of Eric Roberts thing (and I do think it's that rather than actual dislike) is partly that it's supposedly funny for someone to be less famous than their sister and partly that he was genuinely quite successful for about five minutes and now everyone feels embarrassed. I'm never sad to see him crop up myself - he does what he does perfectly well, as he did in TDK.

When I first saw TDK, I thought he would make a perfect Redd White in a live-action Ace Attorney movie.

I still stand by this.
