For me, it's realizing that I can pick up more heavy shit and put it back down than most other girls that makes me keep going to the gym. That, and my workout takes ~45 minutes. (lift mwf, swim tthss) and I'm going back to rugby once my insurance kicks in.
Just running a treadmill or whatever is mind numbingly boring, but find something you enjoy doing. it makes it a lot easier.

there's more to working out than running around a track for 14 laps, or playing a hamster by running on a treadmill/sitting on an exercise bike for 5 hours.
that's the point i was trying to make. It don't matter what you do, just find something you find fun. For me, it's rugby and lifting heavy shit and putting it back down. (225# deadlift crew, represent!)

On my lifting days, if I take 30mins, that's a lot. it's run on the track for 2-3 laps just to get the heart rate up, do 3 diff lifts (it alternates, I do the 5x5-one day it's deads, milpress, pullups, the other it's squats, benches, rows) and its 5 sets of 5 reps each, ramping the weight with each set. if it takes 45 minuts, that's me being slow and lazy, and the only reason i run a few laps is just to get blood flowing, because at my gym, the track surronds the workout equipment-if it took effort, odds are I'd jump right into the lifting.
It's like. less than an hour a week total to lose like, a pound a week. It may not be the most interesting thing ever, but even if it's boring, it's quick.cause lifting raises your metabolism for a few hours. I've lost like 100# just from lifting and being aware of what i eat.
