"Worst season ever" because the Doctor fucked up and then made a dubious ethical decision? You realise he does that all the fucking time?

I, for one, am glad the writer didn't pussy out and actually had the Doctor make a questionable choice. If everything we ever see the Doctor do is black and white, how can we ever hope to understand what he is TRULY like?

The ending is what made this episode stand out as excellent.

All that said, she herself convinced Rory to choose that action. She could have tried to persuade him to go the other way, but she didn't.

Is this in response to 'the Girl Who Waited' or 'God Complex'? I can't tell...

Either way...yeah on the one hand, he should have let Amy make her own decisions, but on the other hand, his TARDIS, his choice...

I thought it brought up a really interesting ethical dilemma. Amy should be allowed to make her own decision, but which Amy? And if the TARDIS can't sustain both Amys in one time stream, which do you leave behind?

Season 6 is my least favorite season of NuWho by far. I won't bother to buy this series on DVD. But the Doctor leaving older!Amy behind isn't the reason. It was one of the few things that I thought was well done.

Well, tbh it *is* a shitty decision. I mean, you either sacrifice Older Amy, but in doing so you give her the opportunity to not grow up alone and in despair, filled with anger/hatred, but in doing so you also essentially kill her.

It is a tough decision. Logically, the Doctor made the right decision, if only because it means saving someone from ever living that way...
