Kotetsu's theoretical limit is 26. Karina is a whole decade too early.

But then again, there do exist couples that have a larger age disparity, so yeah. I don't think that Kotetsu/Karina will ever become canon (and I'm not sure if I want that, despite me shipping it), but it doesn't mean it's totally impossible.

It's not so much the age disparity (I know I read a study somewhere that said that May/December relationships actually seem to have a good chance of working out) as the stages of life they're both in. If she were in her twenties it'd be different, because she'd still be an adult with some adult life experiences. But there's been so much emphasis on how she's still a kid emotionally and mentally that that's where the squick comes in, for me at least.
