Whenever you see a rhetorical question in a fic summary, it's a given that the answer will be 'yes'. Will X heal Y's broken heart? Yes. Will X finally see the light and men his/her evil ways? Most likely. Will X and Y put aside their differences and save the world? Definately. Will X and Y overcome their obstacles and declare their love at last? Wasn't wondering that before, but now that you mention it, YES.

But isn't that only for yes/no rhetorical questions? I would assume that most rhetorical questions in fic summaries are yes/no, but I haven't seen many questions of any sort in fic summaries for the places I've frequented (that I've noticed anyway), so I have no idea whether or not something is badfic based on that.

Well, there are also questions like "What will happen next?" or "How will they cope?" or "What will happen when she finds out?" which are just as unnecessary.
