I'm not in SPN fandom, but something similar goes on in one of mine, and yeah, I can sort of see what you mean. I still think the haters are worse, but the people who are shipping this guy and his girlfriend can be really creepy too, as they are always trying to know really personal information about them, and have this "OMG they are SOULMATES and will be together FORVEVER attitude," which bothers me in most RPF ships, but especially in this one. However, simply liking her or becoming more interested in her, whether it be Genevieve Cortese or who I'm talking about, is far from a bad thing, and is actually pretty healthy.

Is it really that veiled though? I mean, the icon I used even says Muse on it, not just a picture of them. IDK, like I'm cool with Kate, whatever, she seems like a good person even if she's a bit annoying, but I can't even with musegossip. They make me kind of dislike her, even though without them my opinion of her is just "meh". Though then I see the people tweeting Matt that they wished Kate miscarried and all that gross shit and I like her again. So I think my feelings towards Kate have a lot more to do with the fandom than Kate herself, since she seems like she cares for Matt a lot and is a good mother.

Also, your icon :8 Why is Dom so cute? He is like a puppy in hot human drummer form or something. I JUST WANT TO CUDDLE HIM :3

lmao i know. frankly idgaf about her either way? but this influx of "fans" (and yes, i just went there with the sarcastic quotation marks) who are like "LOLOL CUTE PICS WHEN ARE YOU GETTING MARRIED WOW THEY ARE SO IN LOVE" are so nauseating, lmao. like. do you even like the band, i am genuinely curious.

at least they aren't up in my ontd_muse, that's all i gotta say.

and yeah, if he's happy, i got nothin' to complain about. i just kind of nothing her? she's not a great actress but she seems like a nice enough person. i have no strong feelings about her one way or the other. the people who do need to look at their life/choices, at least if they're in the muse fandom.

and dom howard remains flawless. i remember when this pic got posted back in january, i was with vee and immediately screamed and made this icon out of it, lmfao.

I've already been there with the "fans." During mg's height of wank, I actually asked that to...ugh, I forgot her username, the particularly noxious one who got banned...and she never answered. A few other members did, and they seemed to be pretty genuine fans, but it's still like, why is your only involvement with the fandom through talking about their personal lives?

It's just so annoyingly heteronormative, like "OMG, we are girls as we love our gossip teehee," and like every relationship must be this perfect, married with kids one, and how normally couple stuff means that "OMG THEY ARE GOING TO LAST FOREVER AND EVER." Don't get me started on the, "So when is Dom going ot get a girlfriend so we can talk about him?" shit. Like there isn't enough to discuss about him already? It's annoying, in the Twitter thread (which admittedly I check because sometimes cute pictures of the band members will pop up there), recently there was a lot of discussion about whether Dom was dating their stylist, just because *gasp* he went to Fashion Week with her and they took a picture together where they seemed to enjoy each other company. THEY MUST BE DATING SEEING AS SHE IS A WOMAN AND HE IS A MAN. Even though, you know, she denied this and actually has a boyfriend already, and of course, single men and single women can be just friends, it's not impossible. There were people who were disappointed that Dom and this girl they barely know weren't dating. Like, she's hot, so if Dom did date her I would enjoy the pictures of them and all for the eye candy, but, like, who fucking cares? Stop being so invested in the personal lives of people who don't know you exist and who you only know through their public persona. It's one thing to enjoy the occasional gossip, but some of them take it waaaaaaaaaay too far, IMHO. /tl;dr rant

I'm glad their not in ontd_muse because they bug me, but on the other hand, if they were, and they participated in talking about the music and such maybe I wouldn't feel so annoyed by them. I can't really take people as Muse fans seriously if they don't share some sort of opinion on the music, since that's what we're supposed to be there for and all (and that counts for non-mg types as well).

I remember you flailing about it on ontd_muse! Like, he's just such a goof, but in this eager, adorable way that I cannot resist, and I love that. He's sexy pretty much because he's so cheerful (also, dat face and dat body, but I need a personality to make me hooked, you know?)
