I'M HERE TO ANSWER ALL YOUR MIDDAY PRAYERS

[identity profile] loracarol.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
Eh, I guess it depends on the dog or cat. <3 I mean, I've hung out with cats who were more like dogs than the dogs we've had were.

But, yes, they're so elegant~ <3

YOU GOT ME BONA FIDE CERTIFIED

[identity profile] urplesquirrel.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Well, as a general rule, dogs are more work than cats. There are always exceptions, though. My dogs are not exceptions.

YOU GOT A GENIE FOR YOUR CHARGE d'AFFAIRES

[identity profile] loracarol.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
I know what you mean.

But then, our dog acts more like a cat, so it's weird. :D

YARN. HE PLAYS WITH YARN.

I GOT A POWERFUL URGE TO HELP YOU OUT

[identity profile] urplesquirrel.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
Dogs will play with whatever's available to play with.

Case in point? My older dog thinks underwear is a chew-toy.

SO WHAT'S YOUR WISH?

(Anonymous) 2011-09-26 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
My old dog loved underwear too! If he could, he'd try to steal it from the dirty hamper. (And used tampons.)

We used to wrap his tennis ball up in a rag towel to watch him 'solve' the puzzle and root it out of the towel bundle.

I REALLY WANNA KNOW!

[identity profile] urplesquirrel.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Dogs can be so gross. But really sweet, too.

YOU'VE GOT A LIST THAT'S THREE MILES LONG, NO DOUBT

[identity profile] loracarol.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
I've never seen a dog play with yarn, though. :D

BUT ALL YOU'VE GOTTA DO IS RUB LIKE SO, OH-HO!

[identity profile] urplesquirrel.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
I have seen dogs present their people with something half-dead and disgusting as a token of affection, though!

MISTER ALADDIN, SIR, HAVE A WISH OR TWO OR THREE

[identity profile] loracarol.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
...At least our dog's never done that. >_>;;

I'M ON THE JOB

[identity profile] urplesquirrel.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
lol. My dog's given us so much trouble over the years with her severe separation anxiety. She's sweet as can be, just couldn't be left alone for the longest time.

YOU BIG NAYBOB

[identity profile] loracarol.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, I see. Our dog's excited to see us when we come, but when we're not home he's just like "meh".

He'll lick you to death, though. >:)

YOU AIN'T NEVER HAD A FRIEND (NEVER HAD A FRIEND)

(Anonymous) 2011-09-26 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
My dog was the same way. Though not in the enthusiastic kind of licking that dogs usually do. He was slow and methodical and quite loving about it.

YOU AIN'T NEVER HAD A FRIEND (NEVER HAD A FRIEND)

[identity profile] urplesquirrel.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
Henrietta would destroy herself and the house to get out and come find us. She's better now, but she was so difficult when we first got her.

YOU AIN'T NEVER, HAD A, FRIEND. LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE. MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

[identity profile] loracarol.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Our dog treats everyone like a human lolipop. It's actually a little disconcerting. :)

NEVER HAD A FRIEND LIKE ME!

[identity profile] urplesquirrel.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
Some dogs are kissers, others less so.

~~~
[identity profile] loracarol.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
This is so much the truth it's not even funny. :D
~~~*

[identity profile] marshwiggledyke.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
You two are fucking fantastic. <3

/de-anoning bow.

Re: ~~~*

[identity profile] urplesquirrel.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you! Glad to be of service!

have a kitty/puppy gif

[identity profile] marshwiggledyke.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
You absolutely were of service- I didn't expect much more of a response than a few apathetic 'cry moar, anon' replies, and maybe one comment saying 'me too'. I absolutely did not expect so many people to clusterfuck the hell out of my secret in the name of 'winning' this f!s post.

I'm just stunned. I don't think any of my secrets are going to get this much love ever again. <3

Awwww. That sounds an awful lot like Henrietta stars in THE REMAKE OF Homeward Bound!

Re: YOU AIN'T NEVER HAD A FRIEND (NEVER HAD A FRIEND)

[identity profile] urplesquirrel.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
She's named Henrietta because a little girl who didn't know how to sex a dog originally named her King Henry. So her name is King Henrietta.

I'M ON THE JOB

(Anonymous) 2011-09-26 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
My dog bathed himself and would actually hold down others with a paw to bathe them, like a cat to her kittens (I was the only one in our family who permitted it). We think it was because that sort of methodical licking was comforting to him.

YOU BIG NAYBOB

[identity profile] loracarol.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
That's actually kind of cute. <3
