#18, people don't feel like they have the time to get to know new characters. They want to read stuff about things they already know they like. Your original work is probably better.

#22 - in my mind, if it has anthro characters, it counts as furry, but furry doesn't equal a bad thing. It isn't invariably the creepy stuff on Yiffstar.

Maybe that's just me.
