I think it's brave of you to write in a second language! I could never do it.

Unfortunately, putting your writing out there for the world to see, read, and enjoy also is putting it out there for anyone to see and make personal judgments about its quality. It's how we learn, by being told when we're doing something right and doing something wrong.

The world does not exist to provide only approbation to everyone, so as someone who is not completely proficient, you should probably expect that people will not see everything you do as fantastically perfect despite its inherent errors. The same goes for native speakers who make mistakes.

Seriously, people. If you're not prepared to be judged, then why are you putting it out there?

This. Not saying it gives people the right to act like douches, but if you post mistakes online, expect to be corrected. I at least try to be polite about it, and if you let me know that English is not your first language, I will understand why you made such mistakes and take my criticism with a grain of salt, but that doesn't mean I have to hold your hand and pat you on the head, either. Ignorance is not an excuse for anything, and corrections are a way for you to learn to get better, not a personal attack.
