Yeah. How dare they compare Harry Potter to His Dark Materials? I mean, seriously, His Dark Materials is clearly the better-written series.

Next thing you know people will be saying that Narnia or Discworld is the new Harry Potter. I've already seen people say it about Young Wizards. :[

Agreed. I love Harry Potter, but HDM had much more complex writing, not to mention characters.

I love both of them to death and I think they're pretty much equal in terms of writing. I can't even say which I prefer.
