A lot of these comments are surprising the hell out of me. Bad guys = pure evil incarnate? Why doesn't fandom know that there's a scale? That not every thug is a rapist, or that every criminal beats children or whatever? This is the most I've ever seen fandomsecrets ignore misogyny.

i guess the idea is that since you beat the shit out of the random thugs... it's like they're supposed to be portrayed as despicable in order to make you want to fuck them up? so the game is saying, in a roundabout way, that rapists are despicable, and should be punished? that's how i understand it.

of course, i can understand not wanting to be confronted with something like rape in a goddamn video game, and women wanting to feel as comfortable playing games as men do and etc. so it probably would have been better to leave those comments out altogether, especially if they're as graphic as people are saying they are.

Yeah. Some of these comments strike me as Orwellian-level creepy.

If you read more of the comments, you might see that NOT every thug is portrayed as a rapist, nor is every criminal portrayed as violent. Some of the people in Arkham are bad, some are worse, and some are not so bad.

I don't have a problem with people saying "no thanks I'd rather not hear that in my free time" but I don't see why none of the bad characters can say the most awful things.
