Lol. I doubt Scar could be bothered getting off his ass long enough to mate with someone (which is why I found TLK2 so unbelievable. There's no way that lazy, mean, dick of a lion had followers! Nobody liked him!...except the hyenas)

Hmmm, it's been a while since I saw the movie, but if I recall Nuka was very obsessed with him. He, nor his siblings and Mother never stated or implied that Scar was their father.

I don't think he is the Father of either one of the cubs. The lioness said Scar just took Kovou in under his wing.

My head canon is that Scar is gay and rather uninterested in anything other than lazing around so the idea of him fathering cubs makes me LOL haha

Nothing will convince me Disney didn't intend Scar to be gay when they were making his character. I know they would never outright say it in a kids movie. But the voice, movements and general flamboyance makes me wonder if they has the "Depraved Homosexual" trope in mind.

Well, Kouvu, but I always thought that was one of those things where there have been quite a few homosexual kings in European history who have fathered heirs just to continue the dynasty. With Simba "dead" then Scar would've "done his duty" so to speak.

Except in TLK2 they DID consider the cousins/incest angle, albeit last-minute, and specifically threw in a line, "Scar wasn't his father, but he was built up to be his heir anyway."

Kovu wasn't Scar's child though, but he was apparently chosen to be his heir.

That's something that always bothered me about The Lion King 2. I always got the impression Scar would be more willing to kill any potential heirs (and potential threats to his throne) instead of go out of his way to create an heir. There's no way he gave enough of a shit about the pride to plan ahead of his death.

Pretty much this. One of the many, many reasons Lion King 2 makes no gddamn sense.
