Though, given that Nala and Simba are betrothed (yes? Or I'm I hallucinating), one could make the argument that in Disney!The Lion King land, Nala is the daughter of a far off Pride, and she's moved with her mother to the Pride Lands to meet her fiance so they can become friends before marriage and I am way over thinking this. >_>

Oh hey, a coincidence, I watched The Swan Princess last night. It was so weird how after the king died, nobody seemed to mourn or miss him at all. If that element had been in TLK, it would have resulted in a very sad sky-lion indeed.
