The reasons you stated above were very much the reason I preferred DC's Earth-2 Universe over their more mainstream one, and I'm saying this as a 25 year old who only started reading superhero comics a few years ago. In that universe, the heroes (including Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman) were allowed to age in real time, get married, have kids of their own, and move on to OTHER things in their lives rather than stick to superheroics for all eternity. When their kids grew up, it was actually pretty interesting to read about how they handled being the children of legacy heroes. And yes, on Earth-2, the kids of superheroes were actually allowed to LIVE and didn't get blown up or murdered as plot devices to drive the superhero parents. Thank god DC decided to bring that universe back.

Uuugh, THIS. He tries so hard to be edgy, but it's like...watching a teenager in a creative writing class trying to write a story that will TOTALLY SHOCK THE TEACHER. But then the mere fact that he's trying so hard just makes it embarrassing for everyone, not to mention the fact that his "edgy" story is a piece of shit. But then the teacher is like, "OMG THIS IS SO GROUNDBREAKING. LET'S MAKE YOU THE TEACHER'S ASSISTANT," and then he's like, "Blurgh, dude, how did this happen? I don't even go here! *douchebag chuckle*"

And then I facepalm forever and hate life. But mostly Mark Millar.

Anyway, as a kid I found more comfort in the idea that energy is never destroyed, so you literally DO hang around forever. Your loved ones will literally always be with you on Earth in some form or other :)

OP, I can sympathize. Every time he commented about how great of a lover he was, all I could think of barbs (if you catch my drift, if not, just google "cats barbs" ...nope, not my idea of a good lover. In fact, ouch.

I never liked the "heaven" afterlife concept, either. But I also sort of boggle at people who say that they'd never want to be immortal because it would get so boring to be alive forever. I... Must say I could never imagine that.

Then again, I seem to have a below-average capacity to feel boredom overall, so that's just my damage. I actually think it's really interesting how polarizing these concepts can be!

It's pretty good (one of my favorite movies actually), I definitely recommend it! RDJ and Val Kilmer are pretty great in it

I don't ship it at all, but I still hate Harmony. She couldn't shut her mouth for longer than 2 seconds and it got irritating real fast.

I think that entire blog quickly spiked and then fell in quality. It was funny during the period of the hate spiral comic, etc., but the older/newer posts just feel too personal. And not in a good way, more just overshare-y in a way that kind of detracts from the things I did find funny. It's hard to stay amused by after you've realized that the creator, as a person, kind of gets on your nerves. (Not saying that it should, of course. Death-of-the-Author and all. But it can be hard to get past.)
