I read your porn when I was underage, but I was smart enough not to broadcast that fact. I eventually had to lie about my age because of that kerfluffle with the 13 year olds on the Elricest comm insisting that they were "mature enough" to read it. I think it was probably pretty obvious to anyone with a brain that I wasn't eighteen, though. I'm glad I didn't come off as obnoxious. I look back at some of my really old posts and I just cringe...

I'm largely in the Final Fantasy fandom these days, with a big dollop of Kingdom Hearts as well. (I'm a Square Enix whore. The games are so pretty!) From your icon, I assume you're into BBC's Sherlock. I enjoyed that, but I don't really care to read or write any fic for it. Can't say why.

haha, I felt the same way about it. I really liked the show and I checked out the fandom but I just didn't feel to write or read fic for it like I expected to. I didn't even ship anyone (which is weird, because I've shipped Holmes/Watson before), even though I think BC and Martin Freeman are charming. For the first time, I was content with the source material

I admit I enjoy a lot of the memes and fanart I've seen though, and a lot of the authors in the fandom are pretty cool people (including velvetmace, ilu)

Oh yeah! I enjoyed Kindom Hearts and I've read some Final Fantasy, but I'm kinda the way you are about Sherlock. There just isn't the urge to do much with it.

I love Sherlock because the fandom is everything I've wanted in a fandom ever since I left FMA: it's got a kind of what-the-hell, anything goes attitude towards fic. Which shows because it also has the biggest, most active kinkmeme in existence. Literally. I've not been able to find a meme that's bigger. The best writers are willing to write outlandish AUs. Even if there is some ship war activity, it's pretty minor and ignorable. No one is frothing. People seem to challenge each other to do more, go farther, create and generally are really supportive of any sort of fanwork. It's just a great place to be a writer.

Square Enix fandoms are so ridiculously wanky. They're a giant splooge-fest all over the place. But despite that, I still love them and have met a lot of great friends through FF and KH fandom. You just gotta wear your rain gear.

Aww, you make the Sherlock fandom sound so fantastic. Maybe I'll go ahead and write the one fic idea I've got floating in the back of my brain for it. Nothing is better than feeling like you're in a welcoming place to be a writer. (Although, I think the biggest kink meme in existence is the Phoenix Wright kink meme, but that may no longer be true.)

Hetalia might still be a bit larger, but BBC Sherlock is very close. They both have about 21/22 parts that regularly max out at 10,000, but BBC is growing at a much faster pace, at about a part or two a month.
