(Anonymous) 2011-12-07 01:16 am (UTC)(link)I didn't have any game systems either but I made up for it by playing some video games at friend's houses / after-school program in elementary school. This means I've never played a lot of single-player games like Mario and Zelda. But whatever, this whole idea of the PLATONIC CHILDHOOD where unless you had these specific experiences you missed out is fucking weird. I had a good time as a kid. Did you enjoy your childhood, OP? Then you didn't miss out on shit.
