I still can't afford it, I own a ps2 (also psp and ds light, but both bought used), and even if I could afford to buy anything completely new, I could never justify all that money on new games instead of food and new clothes and such.

Ditto on everything you said, only it was with N64 with Mario Kart and Pokemon Snap/Stadium. :B After that.. I couldn't afford games and a new console anymore. ;_;

Oh my step brothers cousins had the N64 with the James Bond game on! (I think it was the N64...)

Thinking of it I did have a NES, my mother bought it for me used, so I played some Zelda and Mario on that.

My cousin had all the new game consoles and loads of games, but that was because they went to Germany a lot and it was cheaper to buy it there, I remember how jealous I was, because I've always had to buy my own things (bicycles, skis, toys)...

Wow this got a lot longer and more TMI than I had intended, sorry about that. (I blame it on the time, its now 4.30 in the morning and I've still not gone to sleep)

S'okay, I'm wasting time too! And I'm hoping my own insomnia will kick in so I can finish my illustration projects that are all due tomorrowww. XDDD;

Was it GoldenEye? I think I still have that around too, because my own cousin brought HIS collection of N64 games over and we still play all these games together from time to time! :D

I think most kids DID save up their money from allowances to buy toys and stuff, but I never remembered games to be so frequent in their releases as it is nowadays. I just don't know how kids keep up with it now, without asking their parents to get it from them or taking up a part-time job. (I mean, you don't have to keep up with ALL of it, but there are so many choices nowadays that I often wonder if anyone else is as overwhelmed with the choices as I am upon surveying them.)

Yeah, that's the one! It was awesome!

I didn't get allowance, only birthday and Christmas money so even if I wanted to I had to buy new bikes and skis before any of the money could go to anything fun.

I really don't get how kids can afford all the stuff they have nowadays! Sometimes I feel really old, and unable to get what the kids nowadays find cool...
