YEAH WELL THAT'S JUST LIKE YOUR OPINION MAN. seriously though! i hate it when people act like they are the ~authority~ on how to write a story. of course andrew didn't have everything planned from the beginning, since he started out taking fan suggestions-- but if you're paying any attention then it's very obvious that some elements were planned for quite some time. and in my opinion, it's a very well-written and unique story. wow. look at that. different opinions.

and i'd just like to say that i find it hilarious that you're only reading for eridan, who is basically the worst character who everyone hates lol. i hope you like Nice Guys.

Also, I majored in screenwriting in college. Every single teacher I had worked in the entertainment/television industry. They all taught that you have to plan your story's plot points beforehand.

Of course you are allowed to make stuff up in between your beats if it comes to you, but any good writer knows otherwise.

I have serious issues with the writing in Homestuck, many of them the ones you described, but this comment makes everything you are saying completely invalid.

What people teach writers to do is not a command, it's a prescription. Hussie's knowingly off his meds because that's more fun to him, and the comic resonates with a lot of people so he must be doing something right.
