I can't stand Shane. I also think this is the most boring, random, left-over pairing I've ever seen in any fandom. I love slash, and I'd love to be able to ship Daryl with somebody ... but this ship is just shipping the two left-over attractive guys because the other two attractive guys are too busy with each other. I don't mind if people ship it, but how could anyone get pretentious about that?

I used to ship Daryl/Glenn and then I went to the TWD kinkmeme and the pairing was pretty much ruined for me. The Shane bashing, the woobie!Daryl or woobie!Glenn, the fact that almost every Daryl/Glenn fic somehow involves Shane lurking on the periphery trying to rape/murder one of them, and the absolute fierceness with which they argue uke/seme dynamics, it all rubbed me the wrong way.

But now I only ship Shane/Glenn, so /shrug.
