it's not a waste of energy if you enjoy it, eg, it's not a waste of food if you eat it. it's a waste of energy if you're just sitting there in your own stewed rage because middle schoolers aren't appreciating your childhood toys properly.

Maybe I'm missing something, but the secret didn't read to me as "GRRRIMSOANGRY!!!!!!111!" but more of "this shit annoys me." You sound more annoyed than the OP, imo.
