I think the movie was SO AWFUL, but I also enjoy watching it because it's just fun to watch. I don't think it's a bad thing to like it! I'm an enormous FF7 fan and as much as I despise how it was done, I get the giddies seeing the characters portrayed in such amazing graphics.

That and Reno and Rude were so well done it almost makes up for the rest. ALMOST. I watch their shenanigans repeatedly.

Even so, my hopes are they don't butcher the remake of the game as badly.

Tifa was AMAZING. I remember hopping up and down when she got her own fight scene AND THEN THE GUY'S CELL PHONE RANG when she beat him! And I just really love her personality, that she loves too much and she's stubborn as hell but she's so shy about it, you know? It made her and Aerith so amazing.

Google gives me no joy - almost everything that comes up is either fan remakes or April Fool's jokes. I know they're remaking FFX in HD (which has me very happy as that's probably my favorite in the series) but no official-looking word of a VII remake.
