O_o. I don't read woobie Sherlock fic. I don't write woobie Sherlock fic... and yet somehow I have plenty to read in this fandom.

How about instead of requesting something be "against sherlock!whump" to rather be about what you really want to read instead. I mean, I don't know how to write an anti-Sherlock!whump fic, but I do know how to how to whump the beejesus out of John.

Just popping in to heap love on your John whumping fics.

*heaps love*

I've requested john h/c fic where it's john-centric and I agree that it almost always ends up at some point being all about sherlocks paaaiiinn. Sherlock freaks out, or has a minor injury and blah, blah, blah, yadda, yadda, yadda. Irritating as heck.

However I don't find this with other pairings. It's not like say, a lestrade/mycroft h/c and sherlock swoops in with tears of agony streaming down his cheeks.

I think that's because a lot of fans can't see Sherlock in a caretaker role being that he barely cares enough to caretake himself. Personally, I think this is selling Sherlock a bit short. I think he's perfectly capable of taking care of people -- if he wanted to, he's just not had much reason to want to in the past. He in fact does take care of people in a certain way -- he solves their crimes for them with a righteous wrath even. He just isn't so much into the cuddling their feelings and waiting on them hand and foot the way a lot of those into the c side of h/c crave.

If you requested John h/c with Mycroft, or Lestrade, Sarah or Molly as the caretaker, someone might take you up on it. Or if you were just into John whump where John takes care of himself afterwards. I love me some John whump, but I see the c side afterwards as being very understated, and more a matter of giving John a good distraction. But like you, I'm really not into that distraction being "Sherlock turning into a puddle of unjustified angst," because damn it, one-upping someone's pain is as annoying as fuck.
