Nah, you're fine. I don't expect my male characters to be perfect, so neither should I expect my female characters to be perfect. The problem is that there are so few female characters that it's easy to expect everything from each and every one of them. If we had a million fascinating characters around, then it'd be easier to let it go when one of them makes bad decisions or longs for babies or is in an abusive relationship or is entirely too cold for her own good, etc. They're so scarce right now that each and every one of them feels like they're supposed to be a representative of all females and all things feminine: that is ridiculous and unfair. It's hard to move your mind to this point of view, but I find it's easier to enjoy media. Enjoy each and every female character for her innate qualities, but recognize the underlying issues and why the female characters are depicted in that way. Note the sexism in the creators, but don't blame the characters.
