How many have you read? I'm not saying that you have to read a certain number before forming an opinion. I'm just curious because the first three books bored me to death, but I really loved 4, 5, and 6.

I've read the first one and pretended I read the next three. I have certain family members who are...very enthusiastic, shall we say, and they don't take "no, thank you" for an answer. I've heard from other people that books 4, 5, and 6 are better than the one I read, but I just cannot bear to read three huge books that bore me just to get to other, longer books that I may or may not enjoy to some degree.
