Why have there been so few secrets posted lately?

Because there are hundreds of fandom secret blogs like these on tumblr that are a lot more convenient.

Waiting for new years post~ Too few secrets, this is almost unreal.

Loved TGWTDT. C: It was quite excellent.

I haven't seen the original adaptation, but I think the new one was pretty good. If you've read the book, they've cut and changed some things about Cecelia and her sister but it doesn't affect it overall (in my opinion, though it was a bit strange they did the changes in the first place).

I've actually read and watched the originals, which is rare for me since I usually hate these kind of plots (lol what is with the northern Europe and their dark, angsty crime dramas I will never know), but I just enjoyed them so much in the end. I'm actually relieved you're saying it differs a bit from the book, since it means it's not gonna be a complete copy of the original film. Totally gonna watch it.

After watching the first Swedish film, I actually vastly prefer the American version! The casting and acting for Blomkvist and Salander were far and away truer to their book characterizations in the new movie.

Don't expect a perfect adaptation of the book, but I personally thought it was pretty truthful and surprisingly un-Hollywoodized.
