Tbh, it's pretty hard to find any relationship in GoT that isn't at least slightly fucked up.

I'm still iffy on Sandor/Sansa, but I can definitely see the appeal.

I have NEVER understood why people are so into this ship.

I HAAAAAATE it. They are horrible for one another.

I love Sandor as a tragic figure and I love and relate to Sansa, but for them to get together just WOULD NOT WORK.

He's severely emotionally disturbed and is in no position to be in a healthy relationship that Sansa deserves. I just can't imagine them ending up together, even when Sansa is of age.

Like, if she becomes a powerful noblewoman I can't see him becoming a good enough lord, or what? They elope and get a cottage together? What is Sandor going to do for a living? His only skills are in maiming and killing. He's unfortunately a lost cause to me and I highly doubt GRRM is going to give him a perfect happy ending.

I think Sansa will grow into an influential figure in Westeros. I think she deserves to find a nice normal guy who can care for her after all the traumatizing events of her life. Two fucked up people together just makes things worse, it helps when there's at least one person whose stable and can anchor the other.

Personally, I'm waiting until Harry the Heir comes into play. I'm hoping he'll be a nice enough guy, maybe even dashing, and he'd notice the beautiful serving girl Alayne and we'd have some fluffy romance between him and Sansa as they get to know one another.

Eventually she'll reveal her real identity and he'll marry her, just as Littlefinger planned, with Sansa having conflicting emotions. One the one hand she's loyal to Littlefinger and is following orders but on the other hand Harry is just so wonderful and she can't help but fall for him. I think it'll all end with Sansa deciding to follow true love and causing Littlefinger's downfall, while she and Harry go on to be the Lord and Lady of the Vale.

But knowing GRRM, Harry will probably turn out to be an asshole and Sansa will get raped to death or something. -__-U

I ship them so hard it's not even funny (to the point where I was disturbingly pleased that they aged Sansa up about two years in the tv show, because it made the ship a tiny sliver less creepy and wrong). I don't know about perfect for each other, though. I think if they actually got together in the books it would be tragic and fucked up and very much not happily ever after.

And yet I still squee whenever they interact, despite know how disturbing the whole thing is.

(Between the mention of Hank/Jan in the discussion of secret #12 and this secret, this is the day for all my favorite fucked-up het ships on f_s. All we need now is Spades Slick<3<Snowman and Spuffy).

What ever happened to the Your-Kink-Is-Not-My-Kink thing? This ship is so vanilla compared to the other shit you can find out there, but now us SanSan shippers are considered an enemy of the state. Funny thing how much fandom has changed in only a few years. *shakes head*

They're not perfect for each other. Perfect for Sansa would probably be Willas Tyrell, perfect for Sandor would be a long-time commitment to a good shrink. But they have chemistry like whoa, and the fucked up nature of this relationship is what I love about it. Happy ever after is not an option for either character IMO.
