But honestly, it really does annoy me sometimes when English-speaking people use the Japanese versions of names. (Like "Ruffi" instead of Luffy in One Piece or "Raito" instead of Light in DN. Though I think the latter is more acceptable in the fandom.) In a way, I guess it just doesn't really matter. What's worse is when people literally pronounce names wrong. D: That's worth getting annoyed about.

I'm not into One Piece, but that sounds annoying. =/ Raito has never much fussed me, even though I use Light myself. I only get annoyed when people are preaching that saying 'Light' is oh so wrong.
Well, I assume the people who type it 'Edo' will be pronouncing it that way too. =/ But yeah, running into people who pronounce things totally off is pretty damn annoying.
