4. Well, if they proclaimed themselves to be a hardcore fan who knew everything but refused to give the original version a chance I can see where you're coming from. But watching or liking the dub better than the original =/= Not True Fans. Being a fan means enjoying a series, end of story.

12. If you don't wanna identify as a furry, don't. I wouldn't go though denying what you like, even though I'm not a fan, but if all you're afraid of is not identifying with the subculture, then don't be a part of it :)

14. I like Naruto. I like DC. While I like Amaerican superheroes more than most manga, I don't think it's fair to compare them. DC's writing and art can range from amazing to total shit (like it is in Countdown), so it really depends on the time period/comic/creative team. Kishimoto's not a master, but neither is the retard writing Supergirl.

I understand that it's a continuum of sorts, and I don't think that Naruto's the pinnacle of sequential art or anything, if that's how I came across. :)

Still, I don't see why it's unfair to say that I like it better than the vast majority of what the big two have been putting out since DC booted up the whole crisis thing in 2005 and Marvel followed suit with its own mega-event deluge, beginning with House of M. Naturally I think there are a ton of Western comics (and non-Western comics, as well) that are better than Naruto in the grand scheme of things, and a couple of them are even coming out now.

So I don't think Naruto's better than all superhero comics, or even all superhero comics right now (hence the 95%). But I do think it's better than most of the ones that have been coming out for the past two years or so. :)

I couldn't watch the 4Kids dubbed version. I remember when I was so happy the few minutes before the first episode was to air as a new show and then....they started playing rap music and I just stared at my t.v. with my mouth open a bit.

My ears CRIED when I heard Sanji and Usopp's voice, but I think One Piece dubbed version will redeem itself when the FUNImation dubbed airs in August.

I still LOVE watching the japanese version though and probably will never stop.
