Look up Yamino on Deviantart or Tumblr. Look at the pile of stinking shit over the Ditzy debacle on Equestria Daily and Tumblr, and you'll see some of what these people are saying. Or just surf like crazy on Ponychan.

I go to EQD for the news and Drawfiends, basically. It's a good aggregator for content. I rarely read the comments, and I comment myself even more rarely than that.

whatever little pocket of fandom you're stumbled upon is a miracle and an anomaly, trust me. I had to scour for ages to find a community where I didn't want to snap my computer in half every other post, and the only reason that one is good is because it's filled with mostly female fans, many of them fans of the older generations as well.
