Idk. I'm not sure I get the point of this secret. Everyone has their favorite characters. Is this new or shocking? Idk. I like Ten, Rose, Martha AND Donna (and Mickey and Nine and Wilf etc etc).

OH WAIT. CAN I GET A SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE AWARD FOR NOT WATCHING TORCHWOOD FOR JACK OR IANTO? Maybe this would look good on my CV.

Lol, MTE. Maybe it was a secret because anytime they mentioned it they got responses like this. Or people trying to argue with them why they were wrong, which is an incredibly common and annoying part of fandom.

I don't think they're wrong for liking the characters that they do. It's just a really dumb "secret". I like some popular characters and not other popular characters! Like... I just don't get the point of this secret.

My guess is that they've probably gotten shit from friends or other people in fandom about it in the past? A lot of the secrets that don't really seem like they really should be "secret" seem to stem from that.
