I thought that we were supposed to look at "You Belong With Me" as if the singer was deranged. The "narrator" of that particular story is obviously the female version of this guy (http://xkcd.com/513/), after all.

You Belong With Me had such a creepy air to it that I literally cringe when I see girls use it on instagram and the like.

It really annoyed me a while back when suddenly a male cover of that song came out and it was suddenly a Yuletide darling. Because apparently it's okay if it's slashy?

Not that I thought it was ever deranged but it pisses me off that slashy stuff is okay in a way het stuff isn't.
