A couple of years ago I challenged myself to write 20 different femslash pairings. Ok, most of them were rather "romantic/ambiguous friendship" than "full blown pairing" but I'm told people often dislike seeing slash in their childhood fandoms and don't care for femslash. I've been asked for Vic/Pol fic and sort-of complied even though I don't ship it myself. Same thing for Yoko/an obscure male Vinean character.
At times I geek over Vinea's ecosystem and Vinean biology, how things can and cannot work. I wonder what could ever go wrong with Monya's time travels.
And I scared a fandom friend away when I discovered Rule-34 existed for Yoko and told them so.

... Yoko Tsuno has so much potential for femslash, really. Because for once there was a lot of interaction between women, lots of women, over lots of subjects, and gods was that refreshing. And then you have Yoko and Khany's strong bond even though they don't spend that much time literally together, and Monya, and--
So much potential, both on the friendship angle and the pairing angle.
... and actually I'm starting to wonder if I haven't seen you around before, I read some Yoko fic recently.

Also aaaaah ecosystem geeking, I wish I was still up to date enough with the comic to do that--I need to reread them.
