I hate LJ being used as a fic community... It's ridiculously hard to navigate and find anything I like to read. (granted, I can never find anything in my ships, so...)

Honestly, FFN was my first fic website, so I have a soft spot for it. I was out of fandom for most of the time it gained 'The Pit' notoriety, so I don't ever see the big problem. I post there now because I'm used to the format, I know how to break up my stories when it nixes my page breaks, and I feel like there need to be SOME experienced writers who balance out the newbies who think their high school AUs are the most original ideas ever.

I haven't figured out AO3 enough to enjoy it.
