Very good points. I can see how some people think RTD put Rose on a pedestal - not that I agree with them - but Moffat has unarguably done the same thing with River. Why does she need to be the BEST EVAR to be ~worthy of the Doctor? Sigh.

Exactly! I didn't like Doctor/Rose, either, at least her being an ordinary Human was enough.
