But the reason I went searching for someplace besides FF in the first places is that it's near IMPOSSIBLE to find good fic over there. You have to UNEARTH it.
Here at LJ, there are rec lists.
Maybe they're on FF too but I've never seen them and if they're there, they're probably a mess.
Plus, tags. I like everything orgionized, so I super like tags. That way I can find my stuff when I need it. On FF I could never remeber which writers I LOVED and which ones I just faved back, could never find my ABSOLUTE fave stories in the jumble of my regular faves...
------And one FF it seems like half of everyone is in middle school and every fic--especilally in rare pairs/fandoms, it reads like:
"blahblahblah" said x
"blahblahblah" said Y
exchange of totally OOC diologue.
Sudden super long paragraph in the middle explaining the entire, dijointed, unfathomable convo.
-------Or it's just this giant block of text filled with run on sentences and text talk.
---------Or the story starts out "Hi my name is [full name] and this is [insert somethign to spoil the entire plot]. So basically it all started like this...[goes into giant block of undreadable text."
But I do find good fic, and I love it when I do. I just don't find it...often. Whenever I find a margionaly good writer I bookmark them immediately, afraid they'll disappear.
I still LIKE ff.
