Because video games are an easy scapegoat. Trying to ban all video games is a lot more black and white then, say, realizing that no one thing completely dictates how a person will be as an adult and that every case is different.

Or asking that parents take responsibility for their children and keep an eye on what kind of media the kid's consuming/ what the kid is emotionally ready for. Or advocating for teachers to have the training to step up and intervene if there's a problem that the parents aren't aware of/ refusing to take care of.

Nope, it's the media's fault!~
