Agreed. It's already enough that so many men co-opted the show from girls, but they gloat about it. It's fine if you like it, I don't care. But liking a show is not anything to be proud of. Women are frequently berated in this fandom. Even the name "bronies" excludes them. And although they aren't as loud as many people, there are the creepy people that fetishize the ponies. This stuff happens in every fandom, but considering it's a show for young girls, it's disgusting. I like the show, and I'm glad people of every age can enjoy it. But not when stuff like that happens.

It is hard to take some of the bronies in fandom seriously (well, as seriously as you can take fandom) or at least not find them creepy, because instead of ignoring the gendering of toys and enjoying whatever they like just because they like it, you wind up focusing on the way they tend to fetishize the ponies. It does tend to reflect badly on the rest of the fandom.
