This. This shit pisses me off so much, and it's useless getting into discussions about it because anyone who says this kind of crap just wants to play the Oppression Olympics.

Yes I'm Caucasian. Yes other people do have it worse than I do. But fuck those people for trying to say because I was born this way that my problems don't mean a thing and I should just "get over them". What seems insignificant to one person can mean life or death for another.

look, i'm from argentina, and this is considered a 3rd world country. whenever someone uses the "first world problems" thing, i get so fucking pissed off. yes, i can have problems over deciding what to have for lunch; yes, my computer may not work well sometimes. just because there are worse problems out there doesn't mean you don't have the right to complain. idiots.

I agree, I mean. Obviously there are some problems that I feel like it's very unfair to hold up to the same level as those who live in third world countries have, but being caucasian does not automatically mean that it is impossible for you to have problems that may hurt just as much, or that you can't experience the same amount of oppression (for example, being caucasian and queer, or caucasian and transgendered, or caucasian and an abuse survivor).
