Look, I WANT more diversity in media and the sooner kids are exposed to it, the better. But the REALLY thought they were going to see same sex couples in there? Now? In these times?

We aren't there yet. We aren't even CLOSE to there yet.

Yeah, this. I'd love to see some gay characters (or bi or what the fuck ever) in cartoons directed at children, but it just ain't happening right now and I'm surprised people would actually expect them to and be shocked when they don't see any. The best we can really hope for is some subtext or something slipped past the radar. Don't hold your breath for characters to be explicitly stated as gay though
