I've been in that exact same situation before, and really, it's hard to see it while you're in it...but it goes away. I had one friend in particular that was just SUPER clingy and felt like she was stealing my identity almost...but eventually, she moved the hell on and carried on with her life and got her own set of crap she enjoys. I may just be an issue of growing up, or finding their own identity, and don't forget...in a least some small way this person obviously looks up to you.
