I haven't seen the film yet, but the second I saw the trailer and saw she was the only woman on the team? I KNEW people were going to say this. Even before anything really came out.

It doesn't even matter how kick-ass they are. Female characters will always get shit, no matter what.

I hope that the rumors about the "cellist in Portland" being Wanda Maximoff are true and we get the Scarlet Witch in the next movie, both because I like her as a character and so we don't have lone-girl-on-the-team syndrome again. (And hopefully they can handle her better than the X-movies handled Phoenix.)

20th Century Fox owns the film rights to Scarlet Witch and the rest of the X-men related characters.

Disney/Marvel owns the Avengers.

(Also, Columbia Pictures owns Spiderman. So no Avengers Spidey)

Actually, they can use Scarlet Witch as long as they make no reference to her parentage or the source of her powers. Likewise, if she turns up in an X-men film, they can't mention her involvement with the Avengers. She and Quicksilver are kind of in a blind spot between the two franchises.
