Let's turn this into something positive.

Let's start a recommendation list of "chill" MLP:FiM places and communities for grown-ups. Places where sex and gender aren't an issue, where it's just about pony-ish love for people age 16 and up. If you know of such places, post the site's URL here along with a little bit of your experiences on that site. And please, no replying to someone's rec with negatives about how "I went there one time and everyone was the devil". Just... positive experiences so that O.P can have some options for nice places where people are helpful and chatty.

I was surprised at how chill and kind and silly the posters here are. There are one or two weird-o's but they get largely ignored/treated with an "oh, you big silly". Discussions are, of course, centered around the picture-in-question beneath the comments, but in my experience, the most antagonism I've seen is "Us against the people who make fun of us" if and when antagonism comes up. Most of the time? It's all about the LOLs and the ponies and fun (which a fandom ought to be about, yeah?)

feminist_mlp is the only mlp community I bother with and it's great. Everyone is really sweet and fun, and sexism, racism and all that other awful shit is not tolerated in the slightest..

There was that time though the mod of it got tired of people on there saying some word or another they didn't like so he posted a picture of his avatar raping Fluttershy and titled it "This is what you get for disobeying" or something to that extent.

IDK if it got taken down or not, its been a bit, and yeah a lot of the people in the comments were horrified but there were a few who thought it was hilarious and the mod himself was unrepentant.
