I would have loved it, and squeed beyond all fanboy squeeing, if Bolin had eventually come out as gay. Although, A) This is a "kids show", so the network probably would never allow for a main gay character, or any for that matter, and B) I could honestly do without any romantic subplots at all. They mess with the flow of the show for me personally.

This. There's other character's I could see that on, but he has too many Sokka/pretty girls characteristics for me to buy it with his character in particular.
